- 1 cup of orzo pasta
- 2 cups of broccoli florets
- 1 pound of Italian sausage (mild or spicy, your choice!)
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the orzo according to package instructions (8-10 minutes).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the Italian sausage until browned (5-7 minutes).
- Add minced garlic and broccoli to the skillet, cooking until the broccoli is tender (3-4 minutes).
- Drain the orzo and mix it into the skillet with the sausage and broccoli, adding red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the spice level by choosing mild or spicy sausage.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
