Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes into thin fries; soak in cold water for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and dry the fries, then toss with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C), spread fries on a baking sheet, and bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway.
  4. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over fries and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
  5. Serve hot with sour cream, hot sauce, and chopped green onions.
