- 1 pound ground beef or pork
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Sauté onion, bell pepper, and celery in a skillet until tender.
- Add ground meat and cook until browned.
- Stir in garlic, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper; cook for 2 minutes.
- Add rice and chicken broth, bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat.
- Simmer for about 20 minutes until rice is tender.
- Fluff rice, garnish with green onions, and serve hot.
