Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes, then pat dry.
- Slice the potatoes at 1/4-inch intervals without cutting all the way through.
- Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over the potatoes; season with salt, pepper, and garlic.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes until tender and golden brown.
- If using cheese, add it during the last 10 minutes of baking.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
