- 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh vegetables (tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers)
- Optional: feta cheese and olives for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in a mixture of Greek yogurt, garlic, olive oil, red wine vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat, oiling the grates if necessary.
- Cook marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
- Assemble gyros with pita, sliced chicken, fresh vegetables, and yogurt; add feta and olives if desired.

- For best flavor, marinate the chicken longer if time allows.
- Use fresh vegetables for added crunch and taste.
