- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- ½ cup of honey
- ¼ cup of soy sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil (optional)
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper for at least one hour.
- Combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Coat marinated chicken with the flour mixture and shake off excess flour.
- Fry the chicken in hot oil for 7-8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare honey garlic sauce by simmering honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil until thickened.
- Drizzle sauce over the fried chicken and garnish with chopped green onions.
