To make the ultimate crispy smashed carrots, you will need the following ingredients:
- 1 pound of baby carrots
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Feel free to adjust the seasonings according to your preference. More garlic? Go for it! Less salt? You got it!
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Rinse and dry the baby carrots.
- Toss the carrots with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Smash each carrot to about half an inch thick.
- Place the carrots on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
