Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme leaves

  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (optional)
  • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them thinly (about 1/8 inch thick).
  3. In a bowl, mix potato slices with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Grease a round baking dish and layer the potato slices in a circular pattern.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh thyme and serve.
