- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft, then add and brown the ground beef, draining excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper, then stir in the beef mixture and fold in sliced potatoes.
- Spread the mixture in a greased baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
- Ensure the beef is fully cooked and browned before mixing with other ingredients.
