- 4 slices of thick-cut bread
- 4 strips of bacon
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 tablespoon butter for cooking
Instructions
- Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- Chop the bacon and mix with half of the maple syrup and bourbon for the filling.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Cut a pocket in each slice of bread and stuff with the bacon mixture.
- Heat a skillet with butter, dip stuffed bread in the egg mixture, and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Mix the remaining maple syrup and bourbon for the glaze.
- Dust the cooked French toast with powdered sugar, drizzle with glaze, and serve warm.
