  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1 tablespoon butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  2. Chop the bacon and mix with half of the maple syrup and bourbon for the filling.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Cut a pocket in each slice of bread and stuff with the bacon mixture.
  5. Heat a skillet with butter, dip stuffed bread in the egg mixture, and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Mix the remaining maple syrup and bourbon for the glaze.
  7. Dust the cooked French toast with powdered sugar, drizzle with glaze, and serve warm.
