Ingredients

  • 1 pound of beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of black pepper, coarsely ground
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and half of the black pepper for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Add the marinated beef in a single layer, sear for 2-3 minutes, then stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes. Set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, stir-fry onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, add remaining black pepper, and stir well for another minute.
  6. Serve garnished with sliced green onions.
